And you thought Mormonism was just another religion, and a weird one at that, huh? Well think again. We are about to show you that Mormonism is not only reasonable, but is the most truly Conservative religion in America.
Section 134 takes its name from section 134 of the book of scripture written by Joseph Smith called the Doctrine and Covenants. This particular section deals exclusively with the Latter-day Saint view of proper government and law. I did an analysis of the section and compared it with what I know of classical liberal and republican thought (I am a student in the PoliSci department at UVSC), and I will tell you that there are few religions in America today that can truthfully say they hold the same positions held by Edmund Burke, Adam Smith, John Locke and others of that era like Mormonism can. And Mormonism does it officially.
We will comment on politics, law, anything that affects Americans in an everyday fashion, because these topics usually end up affecting us politically. You may find one post on the topic of evolution, and the next on property rights. Mormonism is not just a Sunday religion; it is a way of life. Mormonism encompasses all truth into one great whole.
