New Presidency of the LDS Church Announced

This morning at 11:00 AM MST, the new President of the Church of Jesus Christ was announced. Thomas S. Monson was called and set apart yesterday as the 16th President of the Church. He has called Elder Henry B. Eyring as First Counselor and Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf as Second Counselor.

Thoughts on Pres. Hinckley’s Death

Pres. Hinckley has been President of the Church since 1995. Seems like forever. None of my kids remember anyone else. He presided over the doubling of the number of Temples, and a period of phenomenal growth in membership.
