Happy Thanksgiving

Pres. Hinckley counseled us to be grateful. Gratitude keeps the great sin of Pride from finding lodging in our hearts, leading us to greater evils. I express thanks to God for this land, which he has said is a chosen land above all other lands upon the face of the earth. I am grateful for [...]

My Song In The Night

The world falls dark; where is my hope? All is in commotion, and my soul is starved for a moment of peace. Where do I turn? Each day brings new scenes of confusion and grief. There is no respite from the raging storms. Where is the shelter I seek? My feet are weary of the [...]

The Depth of Christ’s Sacrifice

Happy Easter! I love hearing from Elder Holland at General Conference. His knowledge and understanding of the principles of the Gospel are exceptional. In my opinion, he and Neal A. The Reign of the Judges

“…and thus they did destroy the government of the land.”  -3 Nephi 7:2 The California State Supreme Court this week struck down the public initiative, passed overwhelmingly in 2000, which strictly defines marriage as between a man and a woman. The precedent is historic and frightening. The effect of this ruling is to say that [...]

Mormons and Catholics to Blame for Global Warming

“For the earth is full, and there is enough and to spare;” –D&C 104:17 The conclusion drawn by Oliver “Buzz” Thomas in USAToday is frightening. In his April 21st editorial, “Might our religion be killing us?“, Mr. Thomas openly states that among others Mormons, with our encouragement for large families, and Catholics, with their opposition [...]

Ironic

Isn’t it ironic how we are just appalled at the lifestyles of the members of the FLDS church? How we are so concerned about the children being abused sexually. About the story yesterday of the underage girl giving birth to a baby. The irony is that at this very moment in history, we are also [...]
