You make the statement "Government has no authority to define Marriage, because government didn’t create Marriage." This statement is absurd.

Governments have regulated marriage for a long time. Take a look at any general history of marriage and you will see that the flavors of marriage regulated by governments run far and wide. (I posted the wikipedia article titled Marriage for a start, also take a look at Marriage Law)

Seems to me you are also ignorant of the U.S. government's use of law in order to define Mormon polygamy as illegal. Take a look at the Morrill act, the Edmunds Act, and the Edmunds-Tucker act, not to mention the "The Racial Integrity Act" of 1924 that needed to be overturned by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional in Loving vs. Virginia. Perhaps the US Government didn't get your memo.

Regardless of some ephemeral "authority" that you mention, governments have somehow gained the authority, and have successfully regulated and defined marriage for centuries and even millennium.

So maybe you feel fine attacking actors as stupid and/or ignorant, a point with which I don't necessarily disagree, but it doesn't bode well for you when you make outrageously ignorant statements that can't be sustained with even a very cursory look at history.

The rhetoric that Socialist use to sell their product usually sounds great. Everyone will be equal and everyone will be taken care of etc. On the surface it might sound similar to the United Order, but ultimately they are fueled by completely different motives. Sure, some might be inclined to support Socialism for altruistic reasons. However, when actually enforced it is used as a means to control the people. The few decide what's "best" for everyone else. Somehow the leaders of such systems end up with all the money and power while the people are poor and powerless. The key difference between Socialism and the United Order is Love. The United Order works when not only the people have genuine love and concern for each other but also those in power. I don't think that can happen in our current state, I think we are going to have to wait until Christ is reigning personally on the earth for the United Order to work. Christ loves us all and knows exactly what we need. Until we have perfect leadership and a genuine love and concern for our fellowmen the United Order will not work. Anything attempting to substitute that is merely a philosophy of man which may or may not be mingled with Scripture.

Hello, I found my way here from your blog at Townhall.com.
Very interesting post. I don't have a problem with Evolution being taught in school as long as it's taught as a theory. Since it's just a theory, I see no problem with other theories being taught as well. Like others, I had assumed that teaching ID would inject religion into the classroom. (not that I think that's bad, per se, but more because it's my job to teach my kids about religion and I worry what might be taught) But presented in this way would be a good counter to the Darwinists. One of the best presentations of the origin of life was from the Nova special "Origins". It just laid out what we already know. This happened at this point in time, and this happened in this point in time, etc. I was impressed with it. In fact, it seemed to me that it inadvertently supported the Creation story in the bible. It just occurred to me(if you don't mind me rambling) that it seems that the bible was way ahead of science in explaining the origin of life. It's not the first time that science has told us things we already knew because we learned it in church.

I have known Nathan Walker for over thirty years, and am always astounded at the intellectual and communicative skills he has been endowed with.

Nathan has, in a most succinct manner, encapsulated the essence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the origen, purpose and destiny of man versus the liberal viewpoint of evolution and earth's degradation by self-centered men.

Indeed, I am blessed to call Nathan a friend and I echo the statements he made to the taxi driver. I further state categorically the absolute truth that mankind is the offspring of God and was given dominion over all of His creations with free agency to choose between good and ill and then reap the consequences of his actions.

Well said Nate!
